I never thought I’d say this, but Fire Emblem is secretly a runway. Sure, the series is about dragons, divine weapons, and tragic haircuts, but it is also about corsets, butterfly gods, and fighting a war in a wedding dress. As of 2026, I have played enough Fire Emblem to realize my own wardrobe is a bland iron sword compared to these legends. So grab your parasol and prepare to judge me, because I am ranking the best-dressed characters in Fire Emblem. And no, I will not apologize for putting a literal Bride class at number one. Why? Because nothing says tactical brilliance like marrying your enemy with a silver lance.

10. Lissa 💛

Lissa is the princess of Ylisse and Chrom’s younger sister in Fire Emblem Awakening. As the first healer I meet, she has the impossible job of being everywhere at once while staying out of harm’s way. Her outfit has to combine royalty, mobility, and healer energy, and somehow it works. The base is a light-yellow dress that flares thanks to her crinoline, with white accents on the bottom, sleeves, apron, and headpiece. Does it look out of place next to all those armored units? Absolutely. Does it capture her playful, bright personality? Also absolutely.

9. Maribelle 🎀

Maribelle is another Awakening healer, but unlike Lissa, she rides a horse as a Troubadour. That means pink riding pants instead of a skirt, because practicality finally showed up to the fashion show. But she is still a noblewoman, so she adds pink gloves, a white handkerchief, bows, tiny red earrings, and a parasol she carries everywhere. Honestly, it is a crime she never got to whack someone with that parasol. Fire Emblem, I have notes.

8. Freyr 🦋

Freyr appears in Fire Emblem Heroes Book IV, and as the god of dreams, he dresses like a fantasy novel cover that fell asleep and had a beautiful nightmare. A giant multicolored butterfly erupts across his chest, becoming the centerpiece of his look. The rest is a simple long white dress that lets the rainbow bug do the talking. Is it subtle? No. Is it magical? Yes. Would I wear it to a grocery store? Probably, if the store was inside a dream.

7. Shigure 🪽

Shigure is Azura’s son in Fire Emblem Fates, and his outfit clearly inherited the family blueprint. He wears two darker blue hues than his mother’s iconic blue and white dress, plus large armored shoulder pads, blue decorative tassels, and white riding boots for his Pegasus Knight class. His look also echoes his aunt Hinoka, which makes sense because Pegasus Knight armor apparently runs in the family. Still, a part of me wishes he had been a Songstress. Imagine the concerts. The drama. The water-themed choreography.

6. Céline 👑

Céline’s outfit from Fire Emblem Engage makes no practical sense, and that is exactly why I love it. It is an elegant ballgown with ruffles and ribbons, but also a short miniskirt. She wears extravagant platform shoes with socks that cover her knees and feet but not her ankles. Her top is a confused laced halter with a green corset, and her crown looks like two butterflies on their way to a bouquet. Only in Fire Emblem can you attack enemies in a skirt that resembles an upside-down tulip.

5. Annette 🍊

Annette looks lovely in Three Houses, but her Three Hopes outfit is the one that makes this list. She wears a white knee-length dress with blue sleeves, blue ribbons, and orange accents, plus an orange shawl, gloves, and a white handkerchief. The ribbons, ruffled skirt, and braided circular pigtails show she is no longer just a student but not quite a full adult either. It is a fashion snapshot of a turning point. Also, she is adorable. That counts as a formal criterion, right?

4. Marianne 🌙

Out of all the post-time-skip glow-ups in Three Houses, Marianne’s is one of the best. Her floor-length dress mixes dark blue and light blue, paired with a small cape accented in white and gold. Gold tassels and designs decorate the bottom, but the real accessory is confidence. After five long years, she no longer has dark circles or messy hair, and her support conversations are more cheerful. It is a surprising turn of events, and I am applauding while crying. Gently.

3. Claude 🏹

You would not expect this prankster on a best-dressed list, but after five years and a war, Claude gets a fashion makeover. Unlike Edelgard’s loud reds or Dimitri’s somber blue and black, Claude’s post-time-skip clothes are bright and mix in colors beyond yellow. The yellow base is still there, but he adds green accents, a belt with little red and white pom-poms, and a striking gold side coat. It is regal, professional, and still playful. That is leadership, baby.

2. Timerra 🎉

Timerra is the crown princess of Solm in Fire Emblem Engage, and her outfit reflects her love of performing. She wears a bright tie-dye pink crop top with scalloped edges and a matching tiered skirt splashed with green and yellow. Ruffles give the skirt extra layers, because why stop at one tier when you can have five? The best part is her accessories: round colorful balls decorate her waist, ankles, wrists, and hair. Do they make sense? No. Do they make me happy? Yes.

1. Whoever Upgraded to Bride Class 💍

Whether you want to get married or not, the wedding dress is a beautiful outfit. In Fire Emblem Awakening, the Bride class was available through DLC. A female unit could reclass into a Bride, gain Rally Heart and Bond, and fight in a lovely white wedding dress. The class has not returned outside Awakening, but the dress reappeared as DLC for Fire Emblem Warriors and during a Fire Emblem Heroes special event. It is impractical, but it would not be Fire Emblem without a little impracticality. Also, nothing strikes fear into enemies like saying vows while holding a lance.

Until then, I will keep admiring these characters from afar and wondering why my own closet does not include a single dream butterfly. Maybe next year. 🦋
